Some of us have lost more than we can bear, but this Memorial holiday seems extra difficult and I have many memories about my Mother-in-Law, Dorie and my Father-in-Law, John.

Mr. & Mrs. Potratz taught me so much (well after 42 years lets hope I learned something). Years ago I worked along side Dorie and let me tell you, I sure WORKED!!! That wonder woman of her day jammed! I was only 17 and back then I could work a full day... at Potratz this meant until the work was done. This one day I said to her, "gosh you are an early bird", her reply was...... "I came in at 4 am... the Floral Shop window needed a new look".

God bless her and her love of her life, John. He was like the dad I never had, and he took me under his wing. No two ever held their vows so true and they will be together forever in heaven and always in our hearts. Two special people I will never forget. Plus I married their son Jim, the love of my life.

The plant Rosemary is a symbol of remembrance and many people plant it not only for it's culinary usage but also as a remeberance for a loved one passed. Here at Potratz we sell many varieties of herbs, vegetables, annuals and perennials and we also carry Memorial Day combo pots to put at the cemetary of your loved one. If you would like, we can also create one special just for you if there is some plants or herbs that your loved one especially loved.

Either way... whether potted plants, plants to be directly planted in the Earth or cut flowers remember those who have passed and are still with us in our hearts, the selection is wide open and so are we. Potratz Floral Shop and Greenhouses will be open Sat. May 28 8:30 - 6:00 and Sun. May 29 10:00 - 5:00.
